The food group meeting was held at The Oak Tree Low Carbon Farm, on a sunny but seriously breezy day.

Some improvisation was needed as it was far too windy and people were getting cold even in the sun. Steve M to the rescue with a lump of concrete and a fencepost to set up a windbreak.

Once that was all sorted, we could all get on to the serious business of sampling some local food, along with a few jars of some fermented grain.

After the meal, it was time to take a look at some of the permaculture solutions that help reduce energy consumption, and swap ideas on growing techniques.
