About us
Transition Ipswich is about using our collective talents and unique local knowledge to make our community more resilient to the growing social pressures of Peak Oil and Climate Change.
Many towns around the country are now well on their way to putting into practice a local energy descent plan and they look like they're having a pretty good time as well.
To find out more, take a look at the info on our working groups, or how to get involved!

Is there anyone who could demonstrate the community fruit preserving equipment owned by WALGA (Waldringfield Allotment and leisure Gardeners Association) and funded by the Suffolk Association at the People’s Community Garden Party on 25th July? You would need to collect it from Waldringfield and return it there – allow half an hour extra on collection for induction into its use – that would count as training so that your group (provided you are there!) could hire it without further training in the future. It would be so good if it could be shown then people could plan to borrow it in the autumn. More info on what is involved if you get back to me.
Betsy
Hi Betsy – just catching up with a few posts here – did anyone take you up on this offer? Steve
No, alas – but do you know of any others who might like to have it shown or borrow it?
Betsy the Samundham buying group and Downham Market food coop both want to do an ‘adding value to fruit’ training day that im hopefully organising, could we use your equipment for it?
